Possible to rip Speeddisk out of SW2003?

Hi!

Have tested new Norton SysWorks 2003, must say that it is all crap, BESIDES NEW SPEEDDISK! I used Speeddisk in version 5 for my win2000, but last one 2002 was really not good for my XP, but new one is really good again, same time needs as PerfectDisk (~25 min) , but already defragged sys-files & page-file (no boot-defrag needed!!)

My question: Anybody knows how to rip Speeddisk out of Norton Utilities 2003, because this package can be separated from SysWorks-CD with no probs (decrease from 130MB to 50MB), but all I need is Speeddisk (6MB), for NT (like XP) there is already a separate setup.exe that gets called by NU-setup during installation, but starting it directly only works when NU are installed. Anybody knows for which file Speeddisk-setup is looking? Or which reg-key? Or is there a hidden commline-parameter?

I hope somebody knows.

Thanks

Well, in fact Speeddisk was the first to introduce resorting files by their access-date resulting in less re-fragmentation, big advantage over Diskeeper.

O&O Defrag is the only one that offers 5 different defrag methods, but it is very slow, even in stealth mode.

Diskeeper, as mentioned above, is crap, it is really the fastest one, but who cares of speed, when there is no reorganization of free-space which results in re-fragmentation just after a reboot!!
REALLY, you need a defragger offering free-space-allocation, like O&O, PerfectDisk & Speeddisk.

For me, 5 different types are really not needed, that's why I use perfectdisk actually, it's faster than o&o, and offers only two defragmentation modes:
1. just defrag & allocate free-space
2. additionally resort files by access like Norton and O&O.

BIG ADVANTAGE of Speeddisk is that it needs no boot-defrag, very useful for me, since my PC gets never shutdown, but only Suspend-to-Ram (Standby:p ) with 5 user logged on at same time (Family) using fast-user-switch (Windows XP)

Hope this answers your question.

Now, back to my question, anybody knows a way to rip Speeddisk?

Thanks

Already tried this, that's why I'm posting!!

This works only when NSW is installed!!, otherwise you can watch install-wizard loading till 100%, then it quits without a note.

what I'm looking for are the reg-entries and/or files that are needed so that Speeddisk thinks there is a NSW or NU installed!

Really noone has an idea how it can be done?

Or do all just think that Speeddisk is crap!
BUT I'm speaking of new 2003 release, is really better than older 2002, give it a try, and please tell me if it is possible to rip it from NSW / NU.

Just running the SDNT setup.exe doesn't work, it does somehow check if NU is installed.

Thanks
