Poineer DVD-RW DVR-106D Question

I have bought this DVD player and recorder and when I try to copy files from a temp folder on my computer I get a mesage that says my disk is full. I have checked it and its has nothing on it. My computer says its ready to copy the files but it won't. Can you please help me. ID there some kind of software I still need to purchase? I did buy a MP# and DVD Xpack. What else do I need to do?

What software do I need? I guess that would be my real question. Sorry for the ignorance on my part but I have never bought a DVD burner before. What types of software are out there?

I would say try some of the Tutorials. And you will find some of the easiest programs to use are free. Try them and if you have any problems ask.

What will you like to do? Just burning a plain data disc?
usually a mastering software like RecordNow or Nero came bundled with a new drive; such software is needed for burning onto DVD;
about "MP# and DVD Xpack" i can not say anything because i don't know them;
