Prob. W/ sonic DvDit

i can get everything down and ready then when its time to burn the dvd It says microsoft c++ runtime error abnormal program termanation. this happens every time even after a reboot.
what could be the prob?

Please submit more info on the matter, are you say once the program Sonic DvDit is open and you arrange your files in the explorer of the program you get this error when ready to burn.?
What o/s h/w your using? Also media.

Yes, I get the files allready in the explorer part of the program then when I click the build, make dvd disc button i goto the next step of picking my dvd burner out of the list of drives(RIDATA DVD+RW/+R) how many copies i want to burn and so on and so fouth (the norm rightbefore burning) I click ok to burn then I get the error "dvdit could not compleat the last command because: <unknown>" I am useing windows ME as the OS I was useing a blank dvd+RW as the disc media. I can watch dvds and burn dvd data disc or cdr's but when it comes to makeing a dvd I get errors all across the board on all programs i have tried. DVDXCopy says"dvdxcopy.exe has caused an error in dvdxcopy.exe. dvdxcopy will now close." Dazzel DVD Compleat doesnt see my dvd+R it only list my plextor cdr in its drive list. Cinema Craft encoder lite- says"cct has caused an error in <unknown>cct will now close. CyberLink Disc Wizard looks like it is burning but doesnt do a thing. DVD Cloner doesnt see my dvd+r eather. and Last Ulead DVD Workshop says "dvdws has caused an error in xsystem.dll dvdws will now close. I hope this is enough info PLEASE HELP!

Wow. You have try so many dvd author problems. That is enough info. I 'm not sure about your ( RIDATA DVD+RW/+R ) IDE drive. It should be OK where other's can be done. Don't worry, it can be write DVDs. Just need some update for the following step...

My OS is Windows 2000 Professional SP3. Soft installed on my PC, Sonic DVDit 2.54, DVDXcopy 1.30, Dazzle DVD Complete, DVD Cloner 1.90, Ulead DVD Workshop 1.20, Ulead Movie Factory 1.20, DVD Wise and PrimoDVD 2.0. All this NO problem at all. My burner is Pioneer DVD-R/RW A03 Firmware 1.54.

Windows Me may have bugs on the ASPI driver detect your ( RIDATA DVD+RW/+R ) That's why some author soft can't see your DVD+R/RW drive. Check your ASPI. I have a site...check it

If you decided to upgrade your OS, use Windows 2000 Professional SP3. Some DVD Authoring had to be support in NT based mode. Much more stable OS. They also support Windows XP Professional SP1.

For your Sonic DVDit, what is your version ? The New Version is 2.54. Update more DVD writer drive. Check your version. update the new patch file. For the rest, you need to update new patch or installed new version. It may help you to burn DVDs.;)

Firmware Flash update may need it.

Sounds like your Windows ME is all screwed up. Besides most DVD Authoring software requires a NTFS formated HD as the files will be larger than the 4gig limit that WinME has.

As suggested above, format the HD and go to Win2000 SP3.
