Plz Help With Audio

I am having a problem with my speakers lately, they are turned on volume turned way up but no sound comes out wat so ever. I went to control pannel but it just said error: code 10

Sounds like you have a driver problem error code 10, did you update your drivers before this happened? If so I would suggest reinstalling your drivers to overcome this problem (the last set you used before the problem).

have you done a clean install of xp if so you need to find your sound manfacturer and model number and download the driver and install also automatic updates might of downloaded a new sound driver which is causing the problem if so roolback the driver and use previous verison.

i un installed it and re installed it. but it is still sayyin code 10 as soon as i install it.

Try re-seating the card. Don't know why but this sometimes works. If that don't do it, try a different pci slot.

Ok, lets try this.

Let us know the make and model of your soundcard.
If integrated you mother board make and model.
So I can get the right drivers for you.

The error code 10 is a software problem, if thr sound is integrated in you MB use the sound drivers on the MD Driver disk it never fails.
