Plus! for windows XP

Just got my hands on a copy and given it a try out.

Not bad, the only reason most people would want this addition to Windows XP is because of the Aquarium ScreenSaver. One of the very best I've seen, very very realistic.

As for the rest of the features, it's not really worth paying money for it. I've seen it online for about $15 and in shops for up to $40.

Just my 2 cents about Plus!

Something M$ should have included in the XP OS to start with and not as an addition.....well I guess Billy boy has to get extra cash some how doesn't he ?? ;) now that unix/linix/lindows...etc is eating into his profits.

$15 to $40 for a add-on screen saver seem's a right rip off but we are talking Bully Boy Bill :D.
As for the other features DREEMTHEEF in the plus pack nothing worth writing home about then?
By the why I seen it about but never read up on it, the way I see it if worth to B an add to XP it should B free as we all kjnow XP WAS not and is not cheap..

Yeah you're right RASTABT, it's basically only worth it for the s/saver.

What you get is:

4 desktop themes
8 s/savers (the aquarium is the only really good one)
3 extra games, nothing special
extra crap for the media player, CD labeller that sort of thing and believe it or not, voice commands too. Obviously the development guys at M$ are bored. Speak the word "play" into your microphone and your media player starts to play !!!
Yeah something we all need, as clicking a mouse is so tiresome these days.

You need atleast a 16Mb graphics card, which it reminds you about every time you try to install a new part. I have a 32Mb graphics card but Plus! still insists on telling me and some of the functions won't install as it says my graphics system is not 16Mb or above??:rolleyes:

I tried to pull out just the aquarium screen saver to put on my wife's computer but it comes up with some crap about must agree to the Plus! XP terms and conditions, which I guess means it has to run on XP and from the full Plus! package.

Not worth paying money for and should have been part of XP from the start. Not worth the 179Mb down load either!!

Only get it if you really like fishy s/savers, as it's a real beauty. Even the fish's eyes move as they swim.

Just more junk from the M$ crapware factory if you ask me. Although I must admit, I have the nature desktop theme and now when I close down my computer a wolf howls in the background ......wooo....a real must....LOL. How did I live without this before ???...LOL.

IF you look on the net, you will find the Fish screensaver that has all the fish unlocked. I have it, and it's pretty cool. And yea, the only cool thing about this software is the screensavers. Games are worthless.
