Playstation HDD

YEAH !? erm your local PC computer store or stockist of IDE drives :)

as you can use a normal PC IDE drive so long as you use the BROADBAND network adapter :)

Yep, you can buy a large capacity drive and load up all your PS2 games on it with the PS2 HD Loader. They'll load faster from the hdd than from disk but, you won't be able to play any online games from the hdd though.

Do you know any web sites that sell them? and which hard drive do you think is the best to buy?. Thanks for all your help. :)

@Baza171 if you mean hard drives then there IS NO special PS2 hard disk !? :)

ANY IDE DRIVE should work just fine so check your local PC/HARDWARE retailer :)

Oh ok mate what do you think is the best to buy at the moment and also how easy is it to install to the PS2.

Seagate or Western Digital. You just line it up and pop it into the network adapter. Then slide the whole thing into the back of your PS2.

any ATA hardrive will work. I would stay away from WD, because you would have to modify the network adapter to make it fit. The new WD's power and IDE slots miss the ones on the network adapter by an 8th of an inch. Also some newer seagates have been reported to have problems with Ps2. Otherwise Maxtor is your best bet, but anything over 40 gig and under 137 gig will do just fine. ps2 only reads up to 137 gig so i was told. :)

With the HDD can it only be used to copy games onto it or can you use it as a memory card aswell and what about dvds?. Also to load the HDD do you have to use the HDloader every time or is there a way around this. Sorry if these questions sound dumb im new with hard drives.
