Pioneer DVR-A05 & Roxio EZCD5

I just installed a new Pioneer DVR-A05 and found out that Roxio wont burn on any of my CDRW discs. I have not tried burning to DVD yet but I get this error when burning to CDRW

"This disk is ultra speed CD-RW media and the recorder is not capable of recording data to it."

WTF?

A brand new Pioneer DVD burner cannot burn to an old 4X CDRW?
I tried Memorex, Yamaha, generic, Mitsubishi, media and all say the same thing?

Any ideas?

Ultra-speed media are the 12X+ ones, and not the 4X.
It seems that Easy CD Creator does not recognize the media type properly, something which is hardly surprising.

also problems now in Fantom CD

It seems that Phantom CD also does not like the media or the new Pioneer DVR-A05 as it too will not burn anymore.

However with Fantom CD 1.2.1 (build 1960) I get this error

Could well B that fantom doe's not support this drive. Have not been to fantom homepage for a long time and now that Alcohol been released it's taken over from the once Good program Fantom, so check to see if they have updates for this drive @ fantom. Still I should think not you may want to check Alcohol 120%

Don't worry bro I used Fantom once since it did a good job at the time for mi. Alcohol will support your drive for sure and a very good program..Burning and Drinking all at the same time..

yeah it was about time to move on to the better program. I picked up Alcohol 120 and it works perfectly.
