Pioneer dvr a05 cannot read cd

Hi,
I have the dvr-a05. I have no problem reading or writing dvd but I cannot read or write cd. Just in case I have upgraded the firmware but that was no use. Does anyone has an idea?

Remove all unneeded burning software from your system, and care to remove their drivers too- normally unistalling does not remove or deactivate them.
