I've tried this drive with roxio 5.3.10n using DVD +R media (the only media I have) but buffer underun is disabled and it creates coasters if I try to record more than 200Mb at a time (Pentium 866 768Mb RAM (133Mhz) IBM Deskstar 120 GXP drive 7GB free, copying to hard drive first).
I downloaded the trial of NERO 6 but it will only support DVD -R on this drive (why?) and it recognises I have put a +R in and spits it out.
Has anyone found software the does buffer underrun successfully on this drive with DVD +R or should I flog the remaining 20 Media I bought (5 dead now) and buy only DVD -R?
What are the factors to choose between -R and +R? (I bought plus as they were the ones promoted in the Aria advert).
