Pioneer A05 Burnt Data CD's Won't Read

I have a Pioneer A05 and am using Windows XP. I recently noticed that burnt data cd's (containing jpeg's) won't recognize on any drive, in any computer. I used Nero first and it appears as though the entire burn process goes smoothly. I can even "see" the burned data on the disc. I have even used several types of blank media, Verbatim, TDK, Fuji, Memorex, etc. All have the same problem. I even used Gear and have the same problem. Also, I can burn audio cd's and they burn with no problem and can play anywhere. Any ideas? Thanx :confused:

Hi hgwy407, Welcome to our forum! :cool:

What mode are you using for DataCDs?
try it again with Nero (classical interface):
- No Multissesion
- ISO Level 1
- Mode 1
- ISO 9660
- Joliet
- Burning
- Finalizing Disc
- Burning Speed 16x
- Disc At Once
nothing more selectect ==> then press Burning

but still a no go. Thanx for trying to help me out.
so it seems to be a hardware failure; a DVDRW drive contains two different optical parts, one for CD burning/reading and one for DVD burning/reading; the CD part seems to be dirty/faulty;
if it's still under warranty, then try to get a free replacement;
if not, go to your local PC shop to let it cleanse;
