The problem is my Sony 500(external firewire case) writes perfect dvd's straight from shrink, via nero6 express, latest version using my laptop.
My friend who has the same programs/laptop but pioneer 106d, latest firmware (USB2 external case), has burn failures # SCSI command error# , and crashes out as its writing the lead in. Thinking software/media issues i have the pioneer connected to my identical laptop, and get exactly the same error.
This is where it gets interesting, taking the same shrink file, put it through either nero image recorder, or imgtool 091 to produce an ISO, and burn with Decrypter, works perfectly?. I cant imagin the drive is faulty?, or could it be, maybe an obscure bug in nero?. Very intersted if the gurus have any thoughts or suggestions on this.
System spec XP Home SP1 and all avaliable updates.
