this is a shot in the dark, if you have two cd drives in your machine have you selected the DVD drive in the drop down box?

Format DVD-RW Disk ?

I have used DVD-RW and DVD+RW disk numerous times in various DVD±R/W burners. I have never had to format a DVD-RW or DVD+RW disk.

Sorry Guys, been away,

Most come ready formatted, but I always format with the program I'm going to write with. (Pinnacle)

When I use them to capture on the fly, I format with WinDVD Recorder.

Never had any problems.
