Pinnacle burn to SVCD

I set up a 100MB slide show with transitions using Pinnacle 8 and Hollywood FX.
I used Pinnacle to burn a SVCD, it plays on my computer but not my DVD player via TV.
Could it be the DVD player?
Is there a plugin that will allow it to play on all DVD players?
What is the best way to fix this problem and allow it to play on my DVD player??

If Your standalone dosent play SVCD thats it.Check it with a SVCD U know has played on someone elses standalone.

Go to www.vcdhelp.com and check your standalone compatability from there extensive list

That list is not 100% accurate but it is a good way to start.
