some homemade divx (with neodivx) slow the system if i want to see them with Windows media player XP, and i must close it. But when i use the mplayer2.exe (in the wmp directory), my movie runs well.
problem is with wmp. Has many known issues (not just in winXP), so often people use a different program to playback divx files.
Myself I use zoom player ('cause fairly good and free), but there are at least a handful of other players to choose from (many are free too).
