Pause DVD - SVCD

Hey all
my computer takes ages to convert a DVD to SVCD using the chickenman's DVD-SVCD tut, i was wondering if it's possible to spilt the process out.

I usually rip the vob files with smartripper earlier to save on the encoding time.
If you abort part the way through you shoud be able to continue later by pressing the "continue" and recover buttons under the misc tab.

You can let it rip the DVD to HD as Step 1, Let it extract and convert the Audio as Step 2, Encode to SVCD as Step 3. You can stop after Step 2 is done, as encoding starts. Then go into Misc. Tab and hit Recover button & then Continue and it will then start at the encoding stage.

SVCD making is really not fo slow PC, if your serious about SVCD's then you really need to upgrade to AMD 1700+ or better to make encoding times realistic.

Ture! ChickenMan
When the encoding starts it says remaining time "20.XX hours i was like " what the f u c k i'm not waiting for that long "
so i should stick with vcd for now, still takes me 10 hours

Yep I would suggest stay with VCD, nothing wrong with that. Yep at 10hr / VCD I think its time you looked at up-grading the CPU.
