password protected cd

hi. is there any program to encrypt the the files contained in a cd
and password protect the cd, to prevent unauthorised access to the files on the cd??
what i want to do is , when you insert the cd in the drive , to be asked to enter a password in order to view the files..

You could put an encrypted image on the CD. For access you would need a password to mount the image as a virtual drive.

this could be a solution but i want to be able to read the cd without having to run a virtual drive..
