Partition restoring--> loss of space

After backing up and restoring the c drive with Savepart (http://perso.club-internet.fr/guiboure/en/), the drive is at least 100mb smaller than it was before.

Where did that space go and does this happen with similar programs as well?

Nope, it doesn't... check with a partition manager if you have any non-allocated space in your harddisk.

Well, that's very odd. Partition Magic indicates no problem at all. C drive is 4.000,5 mb as it should be (I made it a 4 GB partition). However Windows (98) reports 3,87 GB. The difference for the D drive is much smaller, PM 15,5 and Windows 15,1 GB.

In PM C and D add up to 19,5 GB (correct), in Windows to 18,97. Could this be just another Windows bug?
