pal to ntsc

i have vob file in my hard drive. widescreen (anamorphic).
what are the settings for tmpg if i'm going to convert it to ntsc widescreen?
is it still anamorphic or letterbox widescreen?

suggest you just load the ntsc template for it in tmpgenc.
Only issues is, if you convert something from PAL to NTSC or vise versa, you might get a jittery picture.
Good luck.

PS
before the best solution I had, was just to make sure the source is correct (in advanced tab) & then make the size & fps is set to NTSC specs (in video tab). *normally worked best at 4:3 525 lines NTSC.

widecreen

if set it to 4:3 ntsc . meaning it wont be widescreen on ntsc?so there no way i can convert pal widescreen to ntsc widescreen?

To convert PAL to NTSC is very easy, but as Shadoe said, you will end up with a very jerky result. PAL is 25 frames per sec, while NTSC is almost 30 frames per sec. Like where does the extra 5 frames every second come from? not thin air. TMPGEnc at the end of every second, or 25 frames, it just repeats the last frame another 5 times to fill in the space. End result, an unwatchable jerky movie.

If you realy want to do it, just follow the Tutorial but in TMPGEnc select NTSC template and set screen to 16:9 NTSC. Any further problems, sorry, I cant help you with them.

if you think premiere is a good picture quality better put on your pinoy glasses lol.
But hey, if it worked with results you like, then that's all that really counts. After all, it is for you enjoyment & not ours.

PS
at least you are on PLDT instead of mydestiny (that was a wise choice)
