Just installed an Optorite DD0203 in my Dell 8200 and this drive rocks!!!
Installation was easy enough in the Dell. The drive was made in July 03 and came with firmware 2.09 which I flashed to 2.16 before I did anything. I made my first back up dvd using dvd shirnk 3.5b onto memorex dvd-r media. I was successful at backing up to compusa branded cheap media.
Burned three cd-r for my kids and everything about this drive is solid
Bought from Newegg.com for 162.00 for the black model and got a free hat too! For a +- drive this one can't be beat.
