Optimum Power Error (Help)

Hi All.
This is my first post on this site so I'm hoping someone can help with my query.
I have a Philips CDR775 CD Recorder. I recently purchased a batch of Digital Audio CD-R's. On loading one of these CD-R's into my machine the error message " OPC Error " was shown, which I understand is that the Optimum Power Calibration system cannot read the disc. I then tried another make of CD-R which proceeded to work with no problems. So my question is :- Can I do anything to get my machine to read the new batch of CD's

Is there a difference between the size of the working and the non-working ones? I mean, are they 74 or 80 minutes?
Hi roadworker - both CD-R's are 80 minutes duration.

There's not much you can do about it....audiocd copiers can't be flashed with a firmware update by home users to get better media compatibility.
There are hardware mods available to allow the use of ordinary cd-rom,they circumvent the check on cd-rom for the special bit that's stored on audio cd-rom,but I dunno if such mod improves the overall reading strategy of your copier....
