Opinion about Quicktime 6: of any use?

Hello all,

Ok, Q6 comes with ISO MP4 encoding, and the most interesting: AAC encoding for audio.
Now, I wonder... Does any of you find something useful out of Q6?

As far as I saw, you can just convert from something that Q6 can take as input to an MP4 stream. But you can't configure anything, can you? I did not see any parameter, or maybe I didn't look enough?

I'm a lot interested in AAC, but its usage is quite tricky and only few players can play an MP4 file with AAC audio, from what I've heard.
Yet, I'm looking forward to be allowed to use it

Or I should just look at Vobis instead of AAC, maybe.

maybe you don't know it , you have to register quicktime6 to see any option for encoding ! mpeg4+aac is the mpeg4 standard in both video & audio - quicktime produces valid mpeg4 streams that can be played in every mpeg4 player ___ you can use what audio format you want --- i prever xvid+ogg vorbis together in the ogg media container ( you get 100mb more on cd )
