It looks like you have DMA off on all your drives. Why?
I would turn that on and then if your still having a problem give us some more details on what your trying to burn.

Thanks to woody for this link to MS for turning it on. :) http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/storage/IDE-DMA.mspx
To enable DMA mode using the Device Manager

<table class="numberedList" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr valign="top"><td class="listNumber" align="right" nowrap="nowrap">1.

</td><td>Open Device Manager.

</td></tr><tr valign="top"><td class="listNumber" align="right" nowrap="nowrap">2.

</td><td>Double-click IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers to display the list of controllers and channels.

</td></tr><tr valign="top"><td class="listNumber" align="right" nowrap="nowrap">3.

</td><td>Right-click the icon for the channel to which the device is connected, select Properties, and then click the Advanced Settings tab.

</td></tr><tr valign="top"><td class="listNumber" align="right" nowrap="nowrap">4.

</td><td>In the Current Transfer Mode drop-down box, select DMA if Available if the current setting is "PIO Only."
If the drop-down box already shows "DMA if Available" but the current transfer mode is PIO, then the user must toggle the settings. That is:

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td class="listBullet" valign="top">•</td><td class="listItem">Change the selection from "DMA if available" to PIO only, and click OK.

</td></tr><tr><td class="listBullet" valign="top">•</td><td class="listItem">Then repeat the steps above to change the selection to DMA if Available.

</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody> </table>

Other than the DMA issue, which of course is serious:
1. are you using any Nforce drivers, or just the Windows ones for your XP mobo? The driver number is probably the OS one, but I am not sure, I don't have an Nforce mobo myself.
2. It looks that you may not have sufficient permissions to do some tasks. I suggest to run "Nero Burning Rights" before attempting to burn again.

ok im using the latest nforce drivers coz i read somewhere on this forum that if u do use them the latest ones are the ones to use, tried sto turn dma on and it still wont what the hell is going on?? if anyone can help itd be great coz im about to throw my comp outta the window
oh and what is nero burining rights?? and how do i run it??

Try uninstalling both your IDE's and rebooting. Just change step # 3 to:

Right-click the icon for the channel to which the device is connected, select Uninstall. And windows show reinstall them when you reboot it may ask for your IDE drivers.

If I was you, I would start by ditching the latest nForce drivers. They works for some, while for others they are a Nightmare! Use the "in the box" IDE drivers instead. In the end, that's what I did. I gave up and went with the old M$ drivers. My performance is almost the same anyway. ;)

Update... Oh wait... are you saying you did that already?

Also don't do on the fly. Too many things can go wrong when doing on the fly burning. Save yourself the aggravation and create an image to HD, then burn it to CDR\DVDR media.

1. Remove the Nforce drivers... if they don't want to work then they won't, just remember it the next time you'll need a new mainboard and don't touch any Nvidia chipped one.
2. Nero burning rights is here
