Ok, what do YOU use for burning audio?

Personally I use EAC for ALL audio extraction and Nero for burning. I've NEVER had any problems burning audio w/ Nero 5.5.10 (or the many earlier versions). I also occasionally use CDRwin 3.9b.

Had lots of bad luck w/ EZ5. MANY coasters and MANY blue-screen-of-death's. Even with updates. Yikes! And why is that program so HUGE?!? I did like Adaptec EZ4 and earlier btw.

Don't mean to be too biased here. Just going on many hours of personal experience (close to 1000 audio CD's). All of the above applies to .wav files. I never burn .mp3's! Yuck!

Fill us in! :D

I use burnatonce for burning music. It's free at www.burnatonce.com
It also handles other file formats for burning. Very versatile.

If Nero works well for you then keep it installed. It's always good to have a reliable backup should you choose to use something else with uncertainty.

I use Burnatonce for burning music as well, nifty little program that does the business without taking up a gigantic slice of hard drive or producing blue screens, errors or coasters.

- mastering in WaveLab
- exporting as cue sheet (& wave stream)
- importing in latest Nero version
- burning with Nero in "Advanced Audio Master Quality Recording" mode (Yamaha F1)

Greetings from
Duracell

Mr. Duracell is pretty close the happiness, but for anyone not having F-1 then the freeware EAC/Burnatonce combo is unbeatable. You may also need a tag editor fulfilling all your compressed file needs (eg MP3/ Ogg Vorbis/Musepack), but then the also free to use Tagger does a great job for all those formats. And if for some reason you need to edit your wavefiles, then Audacity and Mp3trim do everything one could desire.
All that software is available for a reeasonable sum: No money at all.

for audio Feurio 1.66.3 couse my driver got better support in new update...Before new update i used Feurio(AGAIN:) :) :D  I love Feurio man)and eac

Audio isn't a biggy on me.

Musicmatch to rip.
Cooledit Pro2 for occasional high-end rip or mastering.
Nero to Burn

Never had a problem.

Feurio is probably the best for ripping. It's great with scratched discs while EAC will take many hours to correct the problem.

I tried Burnatonce after recommendations from this site, but it got removed from my computer when I discovered it was making tiny (not 2 sec) gaps when burning. This was noticable when I was burning continuous recordings..live concerts etc.

A few audiophiles claim Audiograbber has better sound quality than EAC. (I'm gonna get shot for sayin that!)

Feurio :)

CDEx for rippiing. If CD is scratched or iffy quality I use EAC)

Wavelab for editing

RecordNow Max for burning

If cd is scratched, cdex and Feurio will make it better job----at least thats always happened to me!!!!!

I followed your link Fox Mulder and had a really good laugh.

Am I living on the right planet I wonder? I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen the posts with my own eyes.

This is not true. Feurio always uses burst mode to rip, and just reports C2 errors, without trying to correct them. If you use burst mode in EAC, you will get the same result (without C2 error reports)- so Feurio does nothing spectacular when ripping (although it has an exchellent CD manager and burning module).
The best choice for ripping are: EAC at secure mode, or CDex at full Paranoia mode, or Padus Discjuggler. Also Plextools, of course, for anyone having a Plexy reader/burner.

@scarecrow - I will have another go with a scratched disc. I gave up with EAC in secure mode, the disc was still trying to read the next morning! I will judge with my ears instead of an error log.

@Fox Mulder - Superb article :D I loved the usb mouse part. Maybe this guy has genuis ears, who are we to mock? :D

bode :)
