ok NEEDING INPUT for KID SAFE BROWSERS/KIDSAFE SURF TOOLS ETC for kids ages 5>16 yrs

ok looking for good ideas and input well a few people have asked me about this too so asking all the dedicated forum users here and experience of knowledge base here

we including myself are looking for the ultimate in KID/CHILD safe browsing experience so looking for stuff like

SAFE BROWSERS

NET NANNY/CYBERPATROL type software (pref freeware)

ETC etc and any other stuff we all may need to prevent nasty nasty sites and stuff upsetting our young ones

So looking for built in filtering etc etc i know there are loads of stuff out there like this but im asking people who have used these products to post there input in this thread as i feel it useful to others with kids/children etc etc to set up a second/third system purely for net surfing for minors/juniors/future CDRBASE ADMIN/MODS lol ahem maby not

Viper U have a thankless task AFAIK all of these so called safe browsers are crackable by most computer literate kids <> I know of not one that really works <> perhaps someone else does!!

Quite the challenge, The only effective means I have found is myself or the wife in the room during brousing time. I too would be interested in this and effective email filter options if anyone has some suggestions... Thanks

I have seen AOL and I hate it but the service works kind well for porpouses like the one that you need.

In some office networks I have restricted access to some sites by using Browsegate, it has options to give access to only desired sites that you want or you can make rules to limit posibilities of accessing undesired sites.

some router's have that built in to them one of my m8s has one could not tell you make/model and he away on holiday for few weeks

hmmmmmmm will have to dig deeper into the realms of google as im going to get a router at some point soon anyhow
