I have a DVD ripped on my hdd and I cant figure out how to load that. Also If I mount the image of my DVD on daemon tools then The program see it there but I cant do ANYTHING. Almost everything in the program is greyed out for me.

How do I use this program? also there are no help files that come with this program so I cant even read up on it :(

Me either.
I wish to try this program but am stuck. Is there a guide or quick help to just show how to go about the procress? I ripped to movie to my HD but then I am at a loss on how to strip it? I got to the next screen after ripping and dont know how or what to do.

Like for instance... As I mentioned I got the DVD ripped and proceed to the next screen where it lists ITEM LIST and MENU ITEM LIST. Now I attempt to load one of the items from the list and it opens up Media Player but doesnt play any of the items. Try them all, same results. Its hard to figure out without a guide.

Hopefully some of the wise gurus will help us lonely folk out a bit :)

Heres what gets me stuck. I can choose what I want to get rid of, but then problems start happening.

To make it simple, and sine I am testing. I use a small DVD 4 gigs. I then choose to strip one item to keep things safe.
I strip a mini documentry about the movie. Its about 10 minutes long, and I click remove. THen process. I choose backup. I name my project. IFOEDIT 0.96 then runs. And then it says complete. Then thats it. After it finishes I get returned back to DVD Stripper. And then Im at a loss. What do I do then?

Well I found my mini guide of sorts. I am new to this forum so I do not want to post URLs if they are not permitted. Just dont want to get into trouble.

If MODs read this and would permit me, I would post the URL for this guide someone gave me.

As for my answer above, I need to next encode the data. The goof I am I did not think of this.

First of all, you should stick to IfoEdit 0.95, as clearly stated in the FAQ. That's the version officially supported by DS. Other than that, I'm not sure what is your question about. After you strip the item you do not want:

1. Check with a software DVD player, or IfoEdit itself, if the stripped DVD plays fine.
2. If you want to delete / disable the menu buttons leading to the items you've stripped, you could use MenuEdit or MenuModder. It is not mandatory, but if you choose in the menu the item you've stripped, the DVD will simply hang.
3. If the stripped DVD is bigger than a DVD-5 capacity, you should obviously transcode with DVDShrink, or whatever tool you are familiar with.

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

feel free to post the links as it would also help others :)

@007craft, Hi and welcome to the forums:)

check what AZImmortal says but also make sure you have the make backups option ticked. There are 5 fields to fill out

the Ifoedit path
the Drive source
the Temporary folder
the destination folder
the Backup folder (make sure it's ticked)

if you have legitimate paths for all 5 then the rip button will not be greyed out :)

Isn't it possible to to start with a DVD Folder that contains a DVD already ripped to HD?

Well after some work with ImgToolClassic, I managed to create an image from the VIDEO_TS folder.
After that, I mounted it as a Virtual Drive with Daemon Tools.
Then I was able to activate the Rip button, but after it rips I guess nothing happens, were are back into square 1. (Well not really, I have a lot of new VOB files in disk divided by Titleset)
I will check this but I could swear like 007craft that everything apart from from the Rip button is still greyed out.
