Nvidia GeForce2 Ultra
My video card can't seem to keep the change I make to the contrast. It will change just fine but if I start a game, then quit, it goes back to a default setting.

Does anybody have a suggestion?

I don't want to change the contrast using the monitors buttons because it is already as high as it will go. Changing the video card settings is the only option.

what driver are you using for the video card?
Some of the detonator drivers don't work perfectly & you might need to get a refresh rate fix (but very odd your contrast gets affected).
It doesn't work with all the drivers, so you can even download a set that can be used with the refresh fix at:

but again not sure if it will fix the contrast issue.
Your settings for the desktop should be locked & the settings for a game are usually different, but should revert back to desktop settings once finished with a game.
Leads to possibly 3 different conclusions.
-problem with video card drivers
-monitor issue
-game does something to settings to make them final

what game is doing this, or do all games do this to you after?
