is there a way to convert nstc to pal i have dvd's that i would like to convert i know there are some very clever people out there

You can convert ntsc to pal with TMPGEnc or some other encoding programs like dvd2svcd but the results might come out jerky.

Simply using TMPGEnc or other and loading in a PAL template to convert an NTSC dvd will convert it but the end result will be very jerky and not pleasant to watch.

DVD2SVCD has that option but again a jerky output.

If you really need to convert ntsc to pal ( PAL dvd players playback ntsc dvd's fine) then have a read here from the experts on how to do it the best way possible. http://www.geocities.com/xesdeeni2001/StandardsConversion/index.html

Why often people suggest tmpegenc instead of cce???Also,in this case--is it tmpegenc has advantage couse its better,or couse its cheaper,so you can affords it easier--so when i run dvd2avi--do i should use cce,or tmpegenc..Even if its more expensive,we can always use a cce demo from doom9???????
