Outlook 2002 - Anyone know this?

Guys, by default as you prolly know Outlook 2002 blocks a lot of file extensions by default such as .exe etc, etc.

There is a small prog/file you can install that will allow *all* file extensions in as attachments and I did have it, after reformatting a while back I cannot find it and of course Outlook is blocking all this stuff now.

Anyone know what this is called and where to d/l it???

TIA

It could only happen to me!

Now Outlook Express has decided to not allow even .zip files through as attachments for some weird reason.

Anybody ever come across this and know the solution?

Hey Laz.
I had a problem like that before with Office XP installed.
You wouldn't happen to have Office XP installed also would you?
If so, uninstall it and then clean registry before installing it again.
I believe there is also a new Outlook Express available from msn download page (might want to give it a try).
Although personally I prefer using The Bat, but pocomail might be an alternative for you.

Yeah I do m8, can't be bothered to uninstall though. :D

I use OE 6 for mainly all my various forum stuff and Outlook 2002 for personal stuff. I'm sick of M$ cr@p anyways so I think it's time to test drive a few other email clients. Dare I say it I've even switched from Mozilla to Opera in the last day too!

All these changes for a sad old guy are far too much to cope with! :D

OPERA is nice huh laz :)

i recommend version 7.20 latest build :D

Its still not perfect but for sheer speed its pretty damn good :)

Takes a while to get used to but still i love the fact i can turn images on and off at a click and load just text :)

that was the main reason i switched to opera when i was on feeble 56k :)

The other good thing is the reload where i was browsing the last time if and when you crash or if u just wanna quit browsing you can reopen opera to the same page/pages you was at the last time :D

p.s. i hate outlook in any shape flavour or form lol ...

i use PEGASUS MAIL :)

This should be easy;

In Outlook Express go to Tools -> Options -> Security Tab and uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus"

Hey thanks MasterG! :)

Far too obvious for me to have figured out, seems to work fine now.

Thanks again!
