Not extracting all the audio from avi

I am trying to convert the LOTR Two Towers XVID to SVCD. I have done this with no problems before , but this time when I start converting the audio, it only extacts about 7.6mb. The xvid plays fine by as is, I just have this problem when trying to convert. I have tried with CCE and TMPEG with no luck also gspot tells me the audio codec is:mpeglayer3 (mp3) (0x0055) ISO/MPEG and that Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec (professional) is installed and will decode.

I'm lost!!

Please send help I'm dying to watch this :):(

Thanks

Hmm.. have U try VirtualDub? Download it.

h**p://www.virtualdub.org

Extract the Audio to a uncompressed WAV File + use it as Input in TMPEG..

For Manuals how to Convert from a AVI 2 (S)VCD go to:

Look on right Side.. for the Link.

I had similar problems , been trying to do this for 3 days..finally got it done though.

I ripped the video files from the avi with virtualdub and joined them , and done the same with the audio.

Then i used Chickenmans xvid to dvd tutorial.

For some strange reason (probably a small error in the audio stream) DVD2SVCD will not rip the full audio track out of the avi. As others have mentioned, VirtualDUB or better still NanDUB can be used to manually extract the audio out. If VBR MP3 or AC# use Nandub, of ordinary MP3 use Virtualdub.

Read the bottom post to the DivX to SVCD tutorial where I explain how to extract it properly. If its AC3, you might also need to "fix it up" with BeSweet, HeadAche or AC3 Machine to get it to load error free into your Authoring software if turning it into a DVD.
