Ick - god there isn't anything more average *than* avp, fprot, or fsecure. You want a good av software? Get sophos.

Guess you haven't heard - avp is being looked at by mcafee to purchase it for it's lab.

oh, it turn back to normal subscription next day. so it didnt work.

With english version of Norton AntiVirus 2k2 and WIndows XP Pro, works perfectly

I ran the update and it seemed to work as far as putting the year 2029 in the proper location. But, now when my program checks for updates and verifies the subscription, it never updates anymore. And I know there have been 5 definition updates since I upped the date to 2029. Now, I have to download the whole update file every time manually. I think Norton knows about the year 2029 and checks for this. Then, it just never updates your definitions anymore.

i think 2029 is too far--you can only purchase subscriptions on line for 365 days. if somebody changed the length to 1 year probably have better luck keeping the updater working.
I purchased it online and the updater key (that you use in norton) only stays active for a few days.

yeah, it really doesnt make sense to change the updater to yr2029. i'll just do it every year.
