Norton Ghost 2002 & PlexWriter 12x4x32x problem

Hi guys. I am still trying to make a mirror of my system. This has been going on for quite a while. Many helpgul info from this site.

My system includes:
Windows 98SE
Abit KG7 RAID
Two 40 GB IBM Deskstar 7200 RPM with a "C" drive of 10 GB & a "D" drive of 70 GB.
Third Maxtor HDD 20 GB 7200 RPM "E" drive
Advansys UltraWide SCSI card
Plextor 12x4x32x SCSI

I could never get CDResQ 1.53 to workso that I could burn a mirror onto CD's using my SCSI Plex burner. So I moved to Norton Ghost 2002 to create mirrors of the "C" drive & "D" drive onto the Maxtor "E" drive.

My question: If I burn the mirrored files made by Norton Ghost 2002 from the Maxtor "E" drive to CD's using my SCSI PlexWriter (Norton ghost will not allow me to burn mirrors either to CD's), will I be able to use the Ghost files that I have burned from the Maxtor "E" HDD onto a CD and be able to restore my system?
What I am getting at is as a way around the problem of not being able to burn directly to CD's, can I work around this problem (not being able to use Ghost to directly make an image using my PlexWriter onto CD's)by first using Ghost to make mirror images to my Maxtor "E" drive ( which I can do), and then burning the Ghost files from the Maxtor "E" drive onto CD's ( which I can do)?

Thanks

pokopiko, regarding solution 1, I have found the DOS drivers on Advansys site. The site even details how to modify the config.sys and autoexec.bat. I have done this and have a great boot disk that recognizes the SCSI PlexWriter. In fact the PlexWriter works fine on the boot disk. I can put any CD in my PlexWriter and the Plex will do a perfect read of the directory. For some reason when I try to use Ghost or CDReqsQ, I get an error that says the drive doesn't recognize the disk. Almost a year ago you had tried to assist me, as did the software head tech @ Plextor all to no avail. I even sent my Plex back to Plextor and received a new one all with the same results. Sso I am seeking alternatives. If I cannot simply burn the backup image from my third HDD onto a CD, I will then try one of your ooother suggestions.
Thanks
