I think what he means is that Nortons rep as the best A/V prog is no longer true, also the fact that newer versions need a top of the range PC 2 run & maybe the fact it is a beta:)

Ok no problem I dindn't understand you.Sorry.Anyway I use Norton SW 2k3 they work for me but I wont try the beta...I will wait for the final... ;)

Np venim my fault I am english speaking & U tend to forget that people speaking it as a second language sometimes dont understand some of the byplay in the language.

U are lucky u speak more than one language I still havent mastered english much less any other!

I have stopped bothering about Norton AV @ my previous work where a licenced NAV corporate was installed in all network computers (and updated daily) and worms had a party while the puters used almost half of the available CPU cycles to make the damn thing work... Finally the network It got totally pissed and replaced it with F-Secure and all those problems vanished.
IMO there are better things to use than F-Secure for home usage, and much cheaper too, but after going to straits to clean 15 puters of the Norton "consequences" I wouldn't really bother too much about their new releases- especially since I have licences for both Avast! 4 and NOD32, which work extremely well (both of them) and use much less horsepower.

Agreed on the Avast side then Bud:)

I found most other A/V's had 2 much of a hit on my PC speed, but Avast loads like lightning:)
