No video with mplayer2.exe.....

Hello and thank you for DVD Stripper...... does anyone know why I can't see video when selecting ripped .vob files using mplayer2.exe? I can see the video using PowerDvd. I'm running WinXP with all the latest service packs..... any ideas?

It's most likely because the MPEG2 direct show filters haven't been registered. PowerDVD should have done this when it was installed, but you can also do it manually.

For PowerDVD 5 - Start > Run the following command lines or create a batch file:

regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files\AudioFilter\claud.ax"
regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files\NavFilter\CLNAVX.ax"
regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files\VideoFilter\clvsd.ax"

To Uninstall the filters:

regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files\AudioFilter\claud.ax" /u
regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files\NavFilter\CLNAV.ax" /u
regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files\VideoFilter\clvsd.ax" /u

For Power DVD 3/4:

regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\claud.ax"
regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\CLNAV.ax"
regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\clvsd.ax"

BTW: The /s means silent, no prompt.

Thank you for the tip Tim. I tried as you mentioned BUT it still didn't work with mplayer2.exe, BUT BUT BUT I did have a copy of Media Player Classic v6.4.6.5 which is small and fast and it worked wonderful. Tried DVD Stripper with Absolutely Fabulous Special and removed a few items and it worked fantastic! I couldn't make my way through IFOEdit myself and was very glad I came across the software at VCDHelp/DVDRHelp MacKemX! I'm looking forward to how the software progresses! All the best!

How do tell DVDStripper to look for a different player because Window Media 9 doesn`t show any video?

Open Windows Explorer and right-click on a .vob file and select properties, then "change" the program that will open by default when double-clicking any file with the extension .vob. I hope I said that correctly.
