This is my first post so hello to everyone great forum.

I've just followed Chickenmans tutorial to convert an xvid to svcd. On my first go i succesfully burnt to Cd's first time from 2 seperate xvid files (same movie). On my second go I followed the tutorial again and everything seemed to have worked fine but when I looked in the default folder I ended up with files but no mpg files or bin\cue files. I do have an Avisynth_script_file and extracted audio files.

I can play the Avisynth_script_file and get good quality vid but no sound, I can also play the audio with no vid.

What's killing me is that I got it to work once but now despite 3 goes I end up with the results outlined above.

Probably missed something simple

Wecome to the forum.

So you ended up with an Encoded_audio_1.mp2 file and an Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv (if PAL, or an NTSC if an NTSC source). Try in the Mics tab of DVD2SVCD to select Recover and start at the Muxing & Cutting point

Thanks for the quick resonse.

Tried that but got the following error

bbMPEG -error
Pulldown_Encoded_video_NTSC.mpv was not found

So then tried to go back to the encoding and this seems to be where the problem is as I get this error

Limitation of Trial Version
Can't save ecl file

Strange because as I said in my first post I have managed to get this to work once. Is there a version of CCE that I should be using?

Here is a list of files that were created during the original attempt

Have another read of my Tute and you will see I recommend CCE version 2.50 ! The latest is not always the greatest.

That did the trick, should have followed your Tute to the letter. Thanks for your help
