I voted for Barry Sanders. He would have shattered the all-time rushing record if he had not retired.
He had some incredible runs.
Next would be Payton then Brown.

Just remember that when Jim Brown played, men in those days played both ways (offense& defense). Also in Jim Brown's days, defenses didn't substitute like they did in the 80's, 90's, to present day. If Jim Brown were to play today in the NFL, I'm not convinced he would have averaged 100 yards a game.

I know they played both ways. The offense has a tremendous advantage over the defense with today's rules. Jim Brown is certainly better than Dillon, George, Anderson (When he was healthy), Terrel Davis and any other powerback in the NFL today. Have you seen those plays that he flatout ran the f*** over some of those HOF defensive players? I don't know about him catching the ball out of the backfield though. So it would be hard to compare him to Faulk. Although Faulk doesn't have anywhere near the power that Brown had. But I positively believe Brown could dominate in today's NFL.
I am of the opinion that if Barry Sanders got the touches inside the 5 yd line like the rest of the NFL backs, he wouldn't have lasted long enough to get that record.

Jim Brown sure could knock over defensive players like bowling pins If I needed 3 yards, I would definatly pick Jim Brown to run the football, and if he were injured, then I would have to give the ball to either Emmit Smith or Marcus Allen If I needed a quick score from a long distance, I definatly would give the ball to Barry Sanders and if he were injured, I would give the ball to Eric Dickerson. Walter Payton in his prime could knock defensive players on their booty too

O.J got away with murder, but we can't take away what he accomplished in the NFL
