In yet another attempt to clear stocks of the failing microsoft xbox console there has been yet another reduction in price on the xbox console.
Comet are now retailing and e-tailing the xbox for £128.95, dixons/currys/pc world are selling it at £129.99 with a trade in but will match comets price as will most other retailers (asda will match price and give a full 3 year gaurentee

This price reduction is the final admittence by microsoft that they are losing the battle in the console wars, with gamecube outselling it by at least 2-1 and the ps2 outselling it by 7-1 this price reduction is unlikely to help, but what the hell if you chip it there is some pretty good homebrew software on it.
Just think, for the price of 4 gamecube or ps2 games (yes 4 as you would need a chip) you can have a multi region macro free dvd player that can play divx movies and mame arcade games on your television.
microsoft are also launching a bundle pack with jet set radio future and sega gt 2002 for £150-£160 in the next few weeks, but this version will contain the new anti modchip bios (in fact a pro mod will probably be out before the new box packs are)
