Hi, and thanks in advance.
Here is my situation:
My inlaws bought me a Digital Research dual format DVD+-RW/+-R drive, it comes with Pinnacle Instant cd/DVD 8
I in addition, I bought a DVD drive (same brand) to be able to burn drive to drive.
I copied 1 DVD using Pinnacle without any problems, then tried to copy other movies that had a better copyright on them and the program tells me it can't burn them due to css copyrights.
At this point I installed DVDXCOPY (it has both the advanced and the simple versions), I use the simple, they tell me it is the express version, and select the copy entire disk.
When I burn the DVD, it appears to go as planned, no errors, no system lockups, but when I try to watch the movie, My DVD rom drive doesn't appear to read the Disc at all, and my DVD player (a sony that supports all major formats), tells me there is no disc inserted...?
I've created a bunch of dead DVDs, and I've tried two different brands of discs, the one that came with the drive, and Maxell DVD+R, and the only program that will burn correctly for me seems to be Pinnacle, which in turn tells me it cannot copy due to copyrights.
And these are all store bought DVD movies, not rentals that I am told have a stronger encryption.
I installed the aspi as per your tutorial, and still I get the same results.
I could use all the help that I can get.
My system is a PIII 800, 512 MB ram, running Win XP pro, NTFS.
Once again, Thanks in advance,
Bohica
