HI, this is my first post here... i am using the latest version of "Vidomi" and i seem to be having trouble with the outcome of my file.. its not coming out the size i would want.! i am converting a 1hr 57min vob file into a avi/divx file but it keeps giving me 3 files: 2-699mb and 1-398mb.! is there a way i can adjust it so i can get the whole file to fit in 2 cdz.!? or leave it to be a 1400mb file then split it later with virtual dub.? also does leaving the audio on 5.1 channel change the size.. or should i just leave it on 2 channel.?

5.1 AC3 for most films I would suggest 2 CD's. Done a few movies though where there was plenty of room for AC3 on 1 CD at a decent res. Kiss Of The Dragon was one such movie.

I would suggest that if you are able used to using VirtualDub, then you use that to encode instead, although you would need to frameserve the VOB's with AVISynth, which you may not be used to. You could try GordianKnot or AutoGK though to help automate the process. The size of the AVI will be determined by the video and audio bitrates, GKNot/AutoGK will calculate that for you though.
