Newbie DVD Copy Question

Hello it's my first time here asking questions about DVD copying. Previously I spent all my time in the CDR and Software forums here. here is my first dumb question.

I have a big time home theater system installed. If I copy a movie DVD will I still get the same full sound with Dolby Digital EX (6-8 sound channels) when I play back the copy? Or is this copying mainly for video only and what kind of sound (stereo?) do you get? I told you I was new to the copying business. If I don't get the sound it's not worth the copying for me.

CloneCD is the biggest software for copying CDSRs, What is the most popular software for copying movies and DVDRs??

In this forum, some say DVD Decrypter, DVDsmartRipper and instanCD/DVD copy can be done in full copy of a DVDs movie. In order to copy a DVDs, they many steps away from the final copy, we call backup DVDs. Most of our DVDs are DVD-9. The disc are press in the Factory.

Yes can copy a DVD to DVD. You have check the "Org" movie, how many GB in the dis...? Put into any PC DVD-ROM. Just like checking the folder data. If is more than 4.3GB data...than just put 1 side, you can't copyed. Why? due to our DVD burner only support up to 4.3GB not 8.5GB in DVD-9 single layer dual side. 4.7GB is DVD-5. Single layer sigle side. Unless you can find away to spirt into 2 DVDs.

Used either the DVD Decrypter or SmartRipper, ripper the VIDEO_TS folder. This will incuded all the menu, chapter, special edition, Dolby Digital Sound ac3, 5.1, DTS & THX, subtitels, laguares, infact all copyed to your Hard drive. From that, you have to get a DVD arthoring soft to write to 4.7GB DVD-R/RW DVD+R/RW. Your sound will not became Only "Stereo" only. :D
