Hi everybody, I've used tiscali broadband with XP since Feb and only this last 3 weeks I have had trouble on the net. If I click on a link the window tries to open but nothing appears. I have firewall on and the lowest setting for privacy. Can somebody please help!!!

i don't know if you installed someting like an PopUp-Stopper; try to right click the link and choose "open in new window"; Does it work?

Greetings from
Duracell

some browser help objects such as google toobar has inbuilt pop blocking so its worth checking if you have something like that installed too :)

Windows/links still don't show

Hi everyone, not been on the web lately. I have no popup stoppers and still cannot work it out. It is so annoying, I reset all internet settings to default, I have even looked at the settings on my pc at work wich is XP. Even if some sent me a link I cannot see it.
Any more ideas????

check that you are not set to working offline check the file menu in IE that its not set to WORK OFFLINE somethings this can accidentally get turned on :(

Trash MSIE.
The problem might be slashed MSjava (the case for XP SP1a update), blocked activeX controls, or both.
Hi everyone I still have not sorted the problem out. I am not too good at these sort of things. All I know is that I have no pop-up blockers and I have looked to make sure that I am online, in the IE file. When I goto microsoft it tries to link me to sp1a update service pack but obviously I can't see it and i have not updated to SP2 yet. Would that help? It is so annoying as I sometimes have to wait to go to my shop and use the pC there to finish ordering things and such.
