Hello,
I bought a nice NEC 1300 ddv/writer and got paid software naimly pinaccle studio 8.0 se without licencenumbers what to do?What is "the best" software to use for copying dvd's? Something else I made my HD primary master and cdwriter primary slave the dvdwriter secondary master and the dvdplayer secondary slave is this a good setting??

Hi & Welcome :)

If U bought the drive recently & there was no serial, then check any manuals incase they have printed it there, if there are none i would take the drive back, they will have 2 replace it as the software doesnt work right (ie no license no)After all if U cant use the soft as it asks 4 a serial then U cant use the drive :)

Best Layout is(IMO)

Primary Master <> HDrive
Primary Slave <> DVDROM
Secondary Master <> DVD Burner
Secondary Slave <> CDRW

Welcome and don't be afraid to make use of the forum.

"best" is such a relative word. u should try out the demo versions of all the transcoders and see which u like. i personally use instant copy 8 when going the transcoder route.

as for hardware configuration, if u have extra ide controllers (either on the motherboard or with an extra controller card), u'll want to move the hard drive onto one of them for maximum performance.
