Came here for help. Learned how to cut an avi into two parts. Now NERO won't burn it for me to vcd. Keep getting the error: Error during encoding... HELP ?

I have moved this to the correct forum also.

I know its very simple to use Nero to encode an AVI to VCD (well normally( but the result is really quite crappy. Have a read of the AVI to VCD Tute here, and you dont have to cut the AVI, just encode.

like chickenman said don't use nero to re-encode the avi to vcd try tmpgenc it's much better or even cce (but i find cce a little tricky). There are many useful tutorials on here all are of excellent quality and provide step by step guides.

guessing here chickenman that 'armymom' has cut an avi in two and now has 2 halves of avi that still need to be recoded to mpeg before burn and guessing also here that maby nero is the choice of burn tool and prolly causing its headache problem of bad encoding

Thats exactly as I and Flyby said, follow the Tutes and use TMPGenc to do the encoding, Nero suc BIG time when trying to do DivX to VCD/SVCD conversion. Use Nero to burn MPG files ONLY .
