New DVD burner.

I have been thinking about buying a dvd burner for sometime. Just started to my homework on this. I have a ton of reading and research yet to do before i buy.

But i'm looking for any suggestions on good ones or ones to stay away from. I want to be able to burn DVD's down the road. So any ideas or suggestions.

I'm a huge fan of Plextor but to my knowledge they aren't making one or at least not now... Ideas... ???

Yeah that's what i have been debating about. Hell i might as well get the newest Plextor burner then. I'll buy my own x-mas gift...

Plextor is reportedly working on DVD-Burners, but has declined to
give any info.

Although a Plex DVD-Burner sounds great, I'm with Pokopiko.
I thinks it's best to wait a little more time.

Just to give you an example why...about 6 months ago the Pioneer A06 was $899.00. I saw some yesterday for $399.00
at a computer show. I also saw that Pioneer has just released
a second generation DVD-Burner that's twice as fast as previous
burner.

Burning 4.7 gigs of mp3's sounds great though

can't wait my x-mas $ that i got are just sitting waiting to be spent on that new dvd burner so can someone tell plextor to make it snappy
