I just ought a new computer for my wife as hers was about 3-4 years old and wouldn't cut it when playing the new titles like warcraft 3 and rise of nations!
Anyhow when we got the computer home I tryed installing the OS (win 98se) and it went fine but when I restarted the computer again the monitor wouldn't click over But the sound card was working) so I reset the computer and again the compter started but all I got from the monitor was no signal please check cable (cable was connected allright)
Took it back to the place of purchase on monday 1/9/03 after 5 or 6 calls I was finally told it was a faulty motherboard and it had been replaced!
Brought it home same problem again!
Connected another monitor to the computer (same model) and the problem is still there so I'm guessing it's the video card!
Am I on the right track?
P.S It's going back to the place of purchase and I'm not leaving till it's fixed
