LAME MP3 Encoder is the best mp3 encoder and is available for free!
You can use the LAME executable with RazorLAME interface or you can use the DLL with another software (AudioGrabber, CDEx etc).
I prefer the combination PlexTools or AudioGrebber + LAME DLL.
In the archive are included both: exe and DLL.

Hey Peco...thanks man!

However, since this is a file that is easilly found out there on the web and we are having problems with too much bandwidth here, could you give up the link instead please?!

Not a 100% sure, but from checking the date i say it's the first alpha version of lame 3.94. Anyways check these sites for more mp3/ogg/mpc goodies.
