New 107d Firmware

Hi I was just over at the pioneer site and saw that they have released the new firware for the 107d (1.16)

Will ther be a Patched Version of this ?

I was wondering if there is going to be a patched version of this one coz if you install this it'll over write the existing patched version of the 1.15 giving the Region Free DVD reading ability & 8x writing. Also has anyone come across the Dual Layer patch for this drive yet ?

Not quite - 1.16 for A07D and A07XL - with RPC1 and 12x rip - but not the write speed hack?

The A07XL is a NEW drive, do NOT mix XL and non-XL firmware, but isn't the 107 just the OEM of the A07 ?

No such beast as an A07, there is ONLY the A07XL and it has different firmware than the 107. They even look totaly different.

There are no patchs for any Pioneer drive for DL burning. Pioneer have not announced any firm date for their DL burner release other than late 2004, so dont expect any DL patching for 107's etc until they at least release thier own DL burners.

The latest f/w for the 107 is 1.16 and has been hacked to RCP1 and 12x DVD read. There is no "8x for all" in this hack, unlick the 1.13 hacked version. If you want 6x or 8x burning on 4x media, then use the hacked 1.13.
