hey i was wondering, I have a laptop with a dvd rom and a comp with cdrw. I need to get files i got from a dvd to my cdrw comp. I don't have a net work card nor o i have money from one. I have the oversized phone jack thing on the back of my computer. Is there some way i caould use that?

oversized phone jack thingy viper i have seen some of your posts this doesnt sound like you but if you would like to know that is a ethernet port and if you have a network card (ethernet) in your computer whith one of those oversized phone jack thingys all you need is a cross over cable to connect two computers together should be cat5 cable.

well i didn't know that. Well anyway back to the subject. I have a laptop with a for sure network (eternet) card but on this computer i have what they call an adatper or somthing. Now is there another way to transfur files from my laptop to my destop computer?

Using USB cable (fast ??) or Serial cable (extreme slow)
But to be able your desktop to read the files from your DVD-Laptop you must have installed the necessery software too!
