nero vision

i have recently bought a dvd writer as i was getting sick of watching downloaded films on my pc now i have put a couple of films onto dvd using nero vision now they worked fine but my problem is that the films i have been downloading recently (dvdrips) when i want to put them on disc i go to add the files for transcoding and i get to the last bit where nero vision starts to encode the film but nerovision seems to close itself for no reason and smart start comes back on asking what i want to do next anybody else come across this problem if not can anyone recomend a good burning software that encodes dvdrips so i can use them on my dvd play
