Just as a test run I tried to burn a data disk useing Nero 5.5.8.1. Everything when smoth untill I tried to burn it, it kept saying to place a empy medium into the burner.. so I tried about 10 different DVD-R disks but nothin worked. So I used Nero's "Media type" from the tool bar and it said the mediam was empty...
My machine:
Intel P 1.8ghz /512k cache
256MB Rambus Mem
Asus PT-4 MB
20GB Maxtor ata 66 HD
and the DVD burner is a Vivastar RS-111.
Also in the same machine I have a Lite-on 40x CDRW, could something be happening and causeing a conflict between them?
