nero install error help req

when i try to install nero a message pops up saying - internal error 2254. class - what is this how can i fix it please

have never heard this;
try to restart your system > close the background/system tray programs > deactivate antivirus programm > clear your temp folders > install Nero (be sure you use an officiall release)

or maybe is your downloaded version corrupt

nero came with the drive i bought new i sucessfully installed an earlier verson without a hitch though so im not sure unless its corrupted ie the nero that came with the drive

As far as I know, you cannot install the downloaded version over the one you got with your drive.

try to download the newest one from the Ahead homeside.
Uninstal your version
Install the new one, and from here on you can update with the versions from the homesite.
